KILLING HUMANS IS WRONG

GOD, who through the Christian Church in the 4th Century taught the West that killing humans is wrong because human life is precious not cheap in the first place (starting the long but logical process in the Christian West of slowly developing modern Human Rights and International Law and democratic freedoms from the logical starting point of the original criminalization of abortion and infanticide due to Christian influence in 318 AD), WANTS ABORTION TO END, because every human life without exception is supremely and equally precious (first of all to God). This is in fact the very first of The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy (and the antidote to the ignorant bigotry which devalues any group of humans as of less worth than another, including Black humans; Jewish humans; Aboriginal/Native humans; disabled/handicapped humans (with various congenital or acquired physical/ psychological/ behavioural disorders); female humans; and young humans still in the womb; all of whom have had their equal human preciousness, personhood, and equal Human Rights denied by ignorant bigots uneducated in Human Rights History, Science, and Logic. It is the very essence of bigotry, exhibited in all these cases, that the bigot denies equal human value and equal Human Rights to some humans).

In short: GOD WANTS ABORTION TO END because KILLING HUMANS IS WRONG. And because human societies are only safe and FREE when human laws start by reflecting the Biblical, Judeo-Christian-rooted FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY. Like equal human preciousness without exception which governments are obligated to protect. Like the Inherent Human Right to Live without which all other rights are meaningless. And like the necessity that all humans be FREE from all government coercion in matters of belief/thought/religion/speech so they may FREELY seek, hear and find that fundamental Truth of equal human preciousness which undergirds all the Human Rights and democratic freedoms and international laws to protect humans wherever they are which developed only in the Christian West. Starting from Biblical, Judeo-Christian and “Pro-Life” foundational roots (including the Free Will God gave to each precious human so that Love, which must be freely given to be Love, could exist). THERE IS NO FRUIT WITHOUT ROOTS. Legal human-killing abortion bigotry must end because human societies can only be and stay safe and free when human laws remain rooted in and do not compromise God's Law from the Judeo-Christian Bible that “YOU SHALL NOT KILL.”

With the 4th Century criminalization of abortion and infanticide due to Christian influence on public policy, which was effectively the first legal recognition of the Inherent Human Right to Live, Christianity turned cheap humans who served greater States into precious persons who State governments are obligated to protect. Before Christianity, there were no Human Rights. State governments (like the Roman Empire) were typically totalitarian and oppressive and decided what if any rights humans had at all. In the West one third of the population were slaves; parents had the “Pro-Choice” right to CHOOSE to raise or to kill their own children by abortion and infanticide, even the right to sell their own children into slavery, for the very same reason governments had the right to enslave or kill the humans they governed - there were no legally recognized Human Rights.  

Governments were not accountable to anything higher than the government for how they treated humans, but each human life was ultimately in the government’s hands.

Against this came the term and concept of equally precious human personhood - with attendant equal Human Rights - which is completely rooted in Christian theology which teaches the One God, Creator of the Universe and Lover of humanity, who IS Love (1 John 4:8, 16 in the Bible), mysteriously exists as a Trinity of Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (note this means the elements of a Family - Parenthood, Childhood, and the Bond of Love which binds them, mysteriously are in the One God who IS Love – Love being the essence of Family. The precise nature of God’s existence is of course beyond merely human comprehension, a Mystery, but the “contours” of that mystery are revealed in the Bible and contemplated in Christian theology). Humans since Christianity was embraced by the West starting in the 4th Century are no longer cheap but are now called persons with rights because humans are understood as made “in the Image” of the One God in Three Persons. Such that God was called “Three Persons” before humans were ever called “persons,” and as long as any humans have been understood as “persons” with rights, preborn humans have been understood as “persons” with rights - including the Inherent Human Right to Live, humans protected in the womb by Western law or custom from the 4th Century until the 20th Century. In the 20th Century human-killing abortion was legalized first by the evil totalitarian Extremist Left Atheist Soviet Communist Party in 1920 and then by the evil totalitarian Extremist Right Nazi Party In 1934 (of course, any legal human-killing is an extremist political practice).[1]

[1] Legal human-killing of innocent humans, as is done in abortion and euthanasia (which is why they used to be against the law, like all other criminal human-killing), is clearly wrong. But it is important to clarify that certain practical necessities have required some State-sanctioned killing of guilty humans, for the sake of protecting innocent humans from the guilty. This practical necessity need not be seen as “exceptions” to the very important general principle that (without exception) killing humans is wrong. Killing attackers in self-defence; police officers or prison officials killing dangerous criminals in the course of attempting to apprehend them or administering death penalties (where they still exist) to protect the public from them; and just war against bigoted and dangerous aggressive states are not “exceptions” to the democracy-grounding principle of equal human preciousness that means killing humans is wrong. Rather, these are instances of “the lesser of two evils,” where it may regrettably be necessary, in order to protect many precious innocent human lives from evil, dangerous criminals or aggressors (or soldiers serving evil, aggressive states) to kill them. In the past, before modern technology created sophisticated and virtually “escape-proof” prisons for dangerous repeat offenders, death penalties served a definite purpose of protecting the public. With modern technology making it possible to reliably incarcerate dangerous offenders long-term, it is very reasonable that most countries today have eliminated the death penalty. What is unreasonable and bizarrely unjust is that they are now killing innocent humans by abortion and euthanasia while they no longer kill guilty dangerous humans to protect the public.

Christians not only invented the concept of personhood built on Biblical, Christian Principles, but also charity, hospitals and universities. Despite the imperfections and failings of Christians who find it very difficult themselves to live the extremely high Christian standards of God’s vast love for every human, just striving over the centuries for that high ideal in their own lives and in their societies gradually made Western Civilization better and better.

Christian missionaries and religious orders gradually over centuries transformed Western Civilization from viciously brutal to humane and dignified. Before Christianity, human-killing abortion and infanticide were common and “popular entertainment” was to watch people being killed in the Roman arenas; the pre-Christian civilizations of the Americas like the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas practiced cannibalism and human sacrifice, and the losing team of sports matches would be killed. Christians over the centuries changed Western Civilization by practically showing God’s Love for every human made equally precious “in God’s Image,” by providing, for as many humans (Christian or not) as possible, charity for basic needs, healthcare and education to whoever needed it, for free wherever possible, all as part of appropriately treating and serving the needs of all precious humans “made in God’s Image.” That Christian focus on healthcare and education for as many precious humans as possible motivated the invention of the hospital to serve the medical needs of the many and the poor, Saint Basil (“the Great”) of Caesarea building the first large-scale hospital with 300 beds in the 4th Century, after the pagan Roman Empire had ceased to violently persecute Christians, hospitals becoming ubiquitous in the Christian West thereafter. The Early Christian Church had great schools of higher learning in Alexandria and Antioch, and the modern university system developed organically out of the medieval “Cathedral Schools.”  Early still-existing universities were founded in the 11th-13th Centuries, including Oxford; Cambridge; and the University of Paris (known as “The Sorbonne,” after its College of Theology), where doctoral degrees were first awarded. Governments of traditionally Christian countries steeped in these Christian values eventually started providing healthcare and education services and “welfare” for basic human needs, but to this day Christian church communities and organizations still charitably “fill in the gaps” of such government-provided services.

In addition to Christians inventing hospitals and universities, all of the founders of International Law (some Catholic Christians, some Protestant Christians) and most of the greatest social reformers in history (such as Saint Vincent de Paul modelling and inspiring organized care for the poor; William Wilberforce ending slavery in the British Empire; and U.S. Equal Civil Rights Champion the ReverMartin Luther King, Jr.) were devout Christians specifically trying to have Biblical, Judeo-Christian ideals better put into practice socially and politically; non-Christian reformers like Gandhi knew the Judeo-Christian Bible well and were heavily influenced by Christian ideals.

Secularism which excludes religion from the public sphere depends upon uneducated ignorance of the Judeo-Christian history and foundations of Western Human Rights and democratic freedoms (and Western healthcare and education). There is no Democracy as we know it without Human Rights; and there are no Human Rights as we know them without Christianity. That is just history. The ancient Greek “democracy experiments” allowed slavery and hardly anyone could vote (just upper-class land-owning Athenian men), because the Greeks lacked the underlying Judeo-Christian principles of human equality and human preciousness which Modern Democracy as we know it depends on. Slavery existed on every continent throughout history until it was devout Christians like William Wilberforce who ended it in the British Empire specifically through seeing to it that Christian principles like equal human preciousness were better put into practice in his country. (Note humans are always a product of their time and culture as well as their religion, and so long-established pre-Christian norms including “us and them” thinking and race and social class prejudices and gender inequity and warlike ambitious politicians continued in the ostensibly Christian nations of the West, even to the present day, until devoutly Christian social reformers (enacting centuries of the Christian Church’s ever-more-mature reflections upon Biblical principles) courageously challenged the societal norms of their day to make them more Christian, better displaying the equal human preciousness without exception testified to in the Bible).

  The ideal development of Modern Democracy, without any bloody revolution to establish “the people’s” democratic self-rule, happened entirely in Christian cultural context, in Christian Britain. In Christian Britain deep down everybody knew that ultimately a King and a peasant were equal before God, and equally loved by God, as the Bible testified that even slaves and their masters were equal before God and should be treated accordingly (the Biblical principle which eventually helped end the ancient worldwide practice of slavery in the Christian West). In this Christian context the 1215 Magna Carta recognized the rights of the King’s subjects and the King started to share his power with some of them. Fifty years later in 1265 Representative Government began with the establishment of the first Parliament of representatives in London. In 1215 the King shared his political power at first just with the barons but later with gradually more and more classes and categories of the Monarch’s human subjects who according to Christianity before God were equal in precious value with the King. Until the modern period where all adult subjects of the British Monarch (in the UK and the British Commonwealth of nations) have a democratic say or vote; they are governed by their own elected representatives in Parliament; and the Monarch’s role is only titular. All without any bloody revolution to establish the democratic self-rule of humans who according to Christianity without exception are equally precious. 

Christian Britain also established Free Democracy upon Christian principles without any bloody Reign of Terror as in the anti-Christian French Revolution, Atheism’s first big foray into politics which deliberately tried to stamp out the Christianity still held by most of “the people” and replace it with an Atheist Cult of Reason, killing many Christians and turning Christian churches into “Temples to Reason” (or just as violently promoting the more generic new anti-Christian State religion, the Cult of the Supreme Being, preferred by French Revolutionary leader Maximilien Robespierre). In any case Atheism in politics would consistently retain its bloody character, as in the violent State Atheism of Plutarco Elías Calles’ Mexico which also outlawed public display of the Catholic Christianity held by most of “the people” (who could be shot in the streets for public displays of Christianity). Atheist State Communism in the 20th Century not only violently and deliberately persecuted Christians but would actually kill an astonishing 95 million people, according to the 1997 collaborative academic tome The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression. All the representatives of Atheist Communist governments on the original United Nations’ Human Rights Commission refused to even vote on the UN’s magnificent 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, because as Atheist Moral Relativists who believe in no God to set any moral absolutes for human behavior, they could not accept any moral absolutes their Atheist governments had to respect, neither killing humans is wrong, nor any inherent Human Rights their Atheist governments must protect. Atheists believe there is no human-loving God of Christianity to which any government is accountable for how it treats the humans it governs – which is exactly why every Atheist State in history has been totalitarian and brutally oppressive to human life and freedom (note that while there are some “nice” Atheists, this is only because they borrow “nice” Traditional Western (Judeo-Christian) Values which are not consistent with their Atheist beliefs. “Nice” Atheists cannot win arguments with their fellow Atheists who run brutal totalitarian States, based on their common Atheism, to convince them to treat humans better, when Atheism by its morally relative nature cannot accept any moral absolutes such as killing humans is wrong).

So unsurprisingly, the original UN Human Rights Commission which produced the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was, of course, led by an actively devout, church-attending, Bible-reading, praying Christian. Eleanor Roosevelt, the U.S.’s longest-serving First Lady, who often referred to her Christian faith and its insights in her regular newspaper columns. Like most of the greatest social reformers of history before her, Roosevelt was just trying to have enlightened Biblical, Judeo-Christian principles better put into practice in society and politics. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which she properly considered the greatest achievement of her long political career, was of course produced at a time (1948) when most in the Free West were still baptized Christians and attended a Christian Church. Roosevelt in her 1940 book The Moral Basis of Democracy indicated that despite the U.S. operating as a secular State which promoted no official State Religion, its Free Democracy of course still depended on Christian principles which then still permeated the West, and she wrote “we must acknowledge that the life of Christ was based on principles which are necessary to the development of a Democratic state” and said that if we “develop the fundamental beliefs and desires which make us considerate of the weak and truly anxious to see a Christ-like spirit  on earth . . . we will have educated ourselves for Democracy.”[2] The 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights Roosevelt guided the production of was effectively just the mature and logical conclusion of the long but logical Western reflective process which started precisely 1630 years before, in 318 AD, when inherent Human Rights were first effectively legally recognized by the criminalization of abortion and infanticide because the Christian Church then taught the West that humans are precious not cheap (a mere 5 years after the West in 313 AD stopped violently persecuting Christians, and started listening to their enlightened Biblical principles like killing humans is wrong).

Secularism depends not only on uneducated ignorance of Human Rights History; it also depends on uneducated ignorance of the Judeo-Christian history of Western scholarship itself, which goes back as far as Alexander the Great putting the Jews in charge of the great ancient Library in Alexandria, because of the constant Judeo-Christian zeal for the scholarly pursuit of truth in all it forms. Which is why the Modern University System literally grew out of the Medieval Cathedral Schools which started with intense scholarly study of the Bible and then branched out into all the other fields of knowledge. Modern Science and the Modern Scientific Method were pioneered by devout Christians (some Catholic Christians, some Protestant Christians, including Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Sir Francis Bacon and Sir Isaac Newton[3]) in the Christian universities of Christian Europe, the world’s first stable long-term community of scientific scholars, starting from a Biblical, Judeo-Christian worldview and First Principles the West learned from the Bible, like that the universe is an ordered cosmos (with an intelligent orderer) and not an ultimately random, undirected chaos. Which is why it is worthwhile looking deeply at Nature for patterns of order – the signs of an ordering intelligence— as Science does. The Far East could describe Nature in detail worthy of a scientist, yet never developed the Pure Sciences nor the Scientific Method, because they were not looking for nor expecting to find patterns from an ordering intelligence in Nature. This is also why Atheists had nothing whatsoever to do with the development of Modern Science, and today Atheists typically instead of facts (which they just do not know) spout the myth of a supposed “inherent opposition between Faith and Science,” blustered with intellectually dishonest logical fallacies like “Bulverism,” circular reasoning and an arrogant, belittling but vacuous “Atheistic Flatulence” that disparages religious believers as “backwards and stupid” without any cause (seeing as Judeo-Christian religious believers developed the Modern Science which Atheists only borrow, without even understanding its philosophical and logical foundations).

[3] Newton privately held an unorthodox disbelief in the Trinity, but otherwise Newton certainly devoutly pursued his Christianity, spending as much of his time writing theology as he did writing science. The inscription (translated from Latin) on his burial monument in Westminster Abbey reads in part “Diligent, sagacious and faithful, in his expositions of nature, antiquity and the holy Scriptures, he vindicated by his philosophy the majesty of God mighty and good, and expressed the simplicity of the Gospel in his manners.” Like some later Deist scientists (and like some Deist American founding fathers), who also rejected certain important Christian doctrines which are mysteries difficult to understand intellectually, Newton’s understanding of the nature of the universe created and ordered by God (the First Principles of Science, which depends on the universe being an ordered cosmos and not a random, undirected chaos), and of morality, are completely in accord with the Bible and Traditional, orthodox Christianity. Generally Deism is just a truncated form of Christianity with some of the difficult mysteries and personal relationship with God taken out. As a general rule, both the important scientists and important politicians who were Deists or non-traditional Christians influenced by Deism (such as Thomas Jefferson, who called himself a Christian, not a Deist) demonstrably had a Biblical, Judeo-Christian worldview in those areas (the intelligently created and ordered cosmos; and human morality) where their religious beliefs intersected with their important scientific or their important political work.

Actual educated and in-depth knowledge of “the Galileo Affair” reveals that even this supposed lynchpin of the Atheist Myth of Opposition between Faith and Science is nothing of the kind. Galileo and his detractors all completely agreed that Faith and Science were wholly compatible; the Copernican Sun-centered model Galileo promoted had been taught in Jesuit universities for a century before Galileo, as an alternate theory to the then-still-dominant Ptolemaic model; Galileo was perfectly free to teach the sun-centered model of the solar system as an alternate hypothesis, just not as a proven fact, because it had not yet been proven to be fact in Galileo’s lifetime; Galileo’s enthusiasm for Copernican Astronomy got him in trouble for teaching something as fact that had not yet been proven so. And both Copernicus and Galileo who championed his sun-centered view were devout, practicing Christians. Moreover, it is significant that in 1623 Galileo dedicated his new book The Assayer, which is recognized as one of the pioneering works of the modern scientific method, to his friend Maffeo Barberini who had just been elected Pope Urban VIII (a few years before, in 1620, well after Galileo started publicly promoting Copernican theory in 1610, the new Pope had written the poem Adulatio Perniciosa in Galileo’s honor). By all accounts the Pope was delighted with Galileo’s book which did so much to develop the Modern Scientific Method, which the Pope read (or had read to him) at the dinner table. Galileo lived and died a dedicated Catholic Christian and scientist who like Einstein knew “a legitimate conflict between religion and science cannot exist”[4] because (in Galileo’s own words) “the Holy Scripture and Nature derive equally from the Godhead, the former as the dictation of the Holy Spirit and the latter as the obedient executrix of God’s orders.”[5] Devoutly Christian Galileo cannot legitimately be used as the “poster boy” for the Atheist Myth of the falsely-claimed opposition between Christian Faith and Scientific Reason.  

The younger Sir Isaac Newton, also at the center of the Scientific Revolution which established Modern Science, was yet another devout Christian who wrote "This most beautiful system of the sun, planets and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being ...This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as Lord over all; and on account of his dominion he is wont, to be called Lord God παντοκρατωρ [Pantocrator] or Universal Ruler."  This quotation is not from Isaac Newton's voluminous theological writings, but from his book The Principia: Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy [Natural Science used to be called Natural Philosophy], which is widely considered one of the most important books in establishing Modern Science.

In fact, none of the founders of Modern Physics were Atheists either. It is a documented fact that virtually all of the fathers of modern physics like Albert Einstein, Werner Heisenberg, Prince Louis De Broglie, Sir James Jeans, Max Planck, Wolfgang Pauli, Sir Arthur Eddington and Erwin Schroedinger were not Atheists but in addition to their brilliant scientific work had mystical writings mostly in the Western or Judeo-Christian tradition (at least the Deism which is a basically Judeo-Christian Theism but truncated, depersonalized into a “watchmaker God” who ordered the universe and then left it alone – the loving personal interaction with humanity taken out but otherwise a Biblical conception of God and the universe).[6] This is not at all surprising to anyone who understands the history and logic that undergirds all scientific enquiry in Western (Christian) Civilization. The Judeo-Christian religion is not at all a merely “personal” or “cultural” conviction of history’s greatest scientists independent of their scientific work, as today’s Atheists (who generally know next to nothing about the history of Science) would have us believe. Rather, it is specifically because of their Judeo-Christian religious belief in a Creator God who intelligently ordered the universe that history’s greatest scientists were motivated to examine the natural universe, expecting to find patterns of order (the sign of an ordering intelligence because no truly random process produces consistent and intricate and elegant order).  It is only the far less accomplished Atheist scientists since the Enlightenment era, who foolishly stuffed together the “superstitious” type of religion which the Enlightenment legitimately discredited with the “genuine religion” “without which science is lame” (as Einstein said). Atheist scientists are apparently not keen enough intellects to see the difference between the two which the very greatest intellects from Aristotle to Einstein have always been able to see; dimmer Atheistic intellects who are silly enough to claim that (Judeo-)Christian faith and scientific reason are somehow opposed. And they make this ridiculous claim all the while “standing on the shoulders” of the many Christian giants (including Newton and Galileo) who developed the Modern Scientific Method for them, in a consistent logical development of Science’s First Principles (first testified to in the Bible) which begin with the ordered cosmos (not random chaos) designed by an intelligent orderer or Creator God. Which, again, is what makes it worthwhile to look at Nature for underlying patterns of order – the sign of an ordering intelligence – as Science does. The Far East could describe Nature in detail worthy of a scientist, yet did not develop the Pure Sciences nor the Scientific Method like only the Christian West did, because when looking at and describing nature they were not looking for nor expecting to find the patterns of intelligent order that Science looks for. Atheists too never could have developed Science, since they too do not believe in what Science requires.

So Atheists have to rely on their intellectually dishonest, groundlessly arrogant and condescending “Atheistic Flatulence” that belittles religious believers with insults, in order to make themselves seemto be intelligent, in order to make up for the fact that the facts of both Human Rights History and the History of Science are a Judeo-Christian history and not an Atheist one, while Atheist political history from the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror (Atheism’s first foray into politics) to 20th Century Communism (which killed a stunning 95 million born humans, and began the modern de-criminalization of human-killing abortion in 1920) is consistently oppressive to human life and freedom.

Only the Christian West, in the universities invented by the Christian West, developed the Pure Sciences and Modern Scientific Method. This is because the West's Judeo-Christian Bible first revealed that the universe was an ordered cosmos designed by an intelligent orderer/Creator God (and was not random/undirected). This is the reason that the Socratic Greeks (generally recognized as the first scientists; who had first been exposed to the Jewish Bible/Christian Old Testament) and others following the Judeo-Christian Bible looked for patterns of order when they observed nature - and found them. This is what Science is. This is why Einstein himself wrote “there is no conflict between science and genuine religion” and Einstein even wrote that “the highest principles for our aspirations and judgments are given to us in the Jewish-Christian religious tradition.”[7]

Nevertheless, ignoring all the facts Atheists are just too ignorant to even know, “Atheistic Flatulence” viciously and condescendingly but without substance disparages religious believers as “backwards” and “stupid” in the hopes that no one will notice that Western Science and Technology, like Western Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms, were historically and logically built in the Christian West mostly by Judeo-Christian religious believers working logically from First Principles the West learned from the Bible. “Atheistic Flatulence” arrogantly claims that “backwards religious values have no place in the public sphere nor in public policy” while hoping no one will notice that Atheist-controlled governments have consistently been among the most brutally oppressive and totalitarian governments known to history, while the “backwards religious beliefs” they claim have “no place in the public sphere” include and support The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy. Secularism comes from many people actually believing silly and intellectually dishonest Atheist ideas enough to doubt Christianity’s value as the traditional source of the Free West’s “guiding principles for public policy,” without most actually becoming Atheists because Atheism is so spiritually unsatisfying as a worldview.

In addition to, like Atheism, Secularism depending on ignorance of facts (especially ignorance of the facts of the primarily Judeo-Christian development of Modern Science, Modern Human Rights, International Law, and Modern Democracy, all starting from Biblical “First Principles”), Secularism also depends upon Atheist-rooted principles like Moral Relativism (where there is no human-loving God of Judaism and Christianity to set any absolute standards for human behavior) replacing the Biblical, Judeo-Christian-rooted Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy. But every Atheist State in history sees no authority higher than the State Government, to which the State Government is accountable for how it treats the humans it governs. Thus every Atheist State in history is oppressive to human life and freedom, totalitarian and anti-democratic, specifically because Atheism (as the Secularism it inspires) specifically cannot accept any Moral Absolutes governments are accountable to uphold including the Biblical, Judeo-Christian-rooted Moral Absolutes like killing humans is wrong; like equal human preciousness without exception which governments are obligated to protect; like the Inherent Human Right to Live without which all other rights are meaningless; and like the necessity that all humans be FREE from all government coercion in matters of belief/thought/religion/speech so they may FREELY seek, hear and find that fundamental Truth of equal human preciousness which are the historical and logical foundations of the (Christian) West’s Free Democracy. Against the pre-Christian norm of government setting and enforcing religious policy, Christianity introduced the concept of religious freedom into the West, telling the Western government that was violently persecuting Christians that all humans must be free to seek and find the above (democracy-grounding) truths taught by Christianity, and that Christianity itself must not be forced or coerced but must be accepted freely as a free act of love for God. Thus, Christianity is never a threat to human freedom, but the historical source of it. 

Unfortunately, despite Atheism, which replaces God with nothing, having literally nothing at all to commend itself to the West, because Christianity gave the West its Western Science, Human Rights, Democratic freedoms, and International Law to protect humans wherever they are, widespread ignorance of the facts of the historical Christian development of these wonderful things let Atheism and its ideas spread in the West for the last 200 years that Atheism has been a movement. Even though it was a movement introducing itself politically with the bloody French Revolution and its Reign of Terror and built up from there to 95 million killed by Atheist communists in the 20th Century. During which time ignorant Atheists in Western democracies somehow convinced their governments, uneducated in Democracy’s foundations, that Traditional Christian religious values “had no place in the public sphere and should not influence public policy.” So, the unfounded Atheist criticisms of Christianity have resulted in Secularism that doubts the value of Christianity as the West’s “Guiding Principles for Public Policy.” This Secularism has resulted in the abandonment (starting in the 1960s) of Traditional Western, Judeo-Christian, Pro-Life Family Values which include and support The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy. And now Western Civilization is paying the price for abandoning the foundations of its freedom, with more and more totalitarian-oriented, anti-democratic laws and policies being passed by secularized Pro-Choice politicians who have not a clue where Free Democracy comes from, nor how to maintain it.

In fact, the irony is that the traditionally Christian nations of the West have been the most free to forget the long-ago laid Christian and Pro-Life foundations of their freedom and become secularized. Because of the freedom Christianity gave them, Western nations have been free to fail to maintain those essentially Pro-Life Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy as the “guiding principles” of public policy, and thus free to start losing normal democratic freedoms to today’s gradually accelerating Pro-Choice ‘Creeping Totalitarianism’ born of secular ignorance of the forgotten foundations of Democracy. Thus, the freedom which Christianity gave to the West is a great responsibility to use that freedom wisely, or else it will not last. At the very least The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy must be maintained as the West’s “Guiding Principles.”

To be consistent and stable long-term, governments must have consistently-applied underlying “guiding principles for public policy.” So (whatever percentage of a democracy’s population are practicing Christians), governments of LASTING democracies must CHOOSE to draw on these Christian principles rather than non-Christian principles (such as Atheist principles) as their underlying “guiding principles for public policy,” especially in deciding matters affecting human life itself, like the Human Rights for All Humans Debate (the Abortion Debate). How can any government over humans be stable long-term if it is not even consistent in how it understands and treats humans – sometimes acting as if humans are equally precious and worthy of government protection (based on the above Traditional Western, Biblical, Judeo-Christian and Pro-Life “guiding principles” assumed at the foundation of all traditional democracies); but also sometimes acting as if some humans are worthless and can be legally killed by abortion or euthanasia (based on Atheist “guiding principles” and following the precedent of the Atheist Soviet and other Totalitarian States, which typically practice legal abortion and/or euthanasia because they have no Judeo-Christian belief that killing humans is wrong). Such “Jekyll and Hyde” governments which display inconsistent Multiple Personality Disorder on the most basic of questions for governing humans, “do humans have Human Rights or not?,” cannot possibly remain stable long-term. Just like legal slavery and democracy were fundamentally incompatible because legal slavery violated the democracy-grounding principle of equal human preciousness, legal abortion and democracy are fundamentally incompatible because legal abortion also violates the democracy-grounding principle of equal human preciousness.

Since in democracies “of the people, by the people, for the people” voters technically govern themselves through their elected representatives, voters who wish Free Democracy to last for their grandchildren must also wisely choose to vote for representatives (or parties of representatives) who will uphold The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, which include and are historically and logically built on the above underlying Biblical, Judeo-Christian, Pro-Life principles.

So, in making their choices affecting public policy and in determining elected representatives of one’s democracy, governments and voters must remember THERE IS NO FRUIT WITHOUT ROOTS. The fruit of Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms cannot and will not last long-term without maintaining their historical and logical roots. These roots are Biblical and Judeo-Christian, and Traditional Judaism and Traditional Christianity must at least be respected by governments as the sourceof the above Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, in any democracy that lasts. Simple respectfor Christianity is all that is minimally required, since by its own principles Christianity itself cannot be forced or coerced on anyone, but each individual human must accept it freely as a free act of love for God (God who made every human life equally precious, with equal Inherent Human Rights which governments are obligated, to something higher than the government, to protect).

Many millions of non-Christians as well as Christians already hold the Traditional Western (Judeo-Christian) Values which include and support The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, which are fundamentally “Pro-Life.” But Atheist-inspired Secularism that ridiculously insists “religious beliefs have no place in the public sphere” no longer supports these religious foundations of Free Democracy still held by so many of “the people” democracies are supposed to represent. Betraying the very foundations of Free Democracy, secularized governments with little or no educated knowledge of Human Rights History (nor of Science nor Logic) have returned to the ancient “Pro-Choice” legal human-killing values common before Christianity introduced the West to democracy-grounding equal human preciousness. Thus unsurprisingly, to keep Pro-Choice human-killing by abortion legal, Pro-Choice political parties in power have started passing totalitarian laws and policies which take away normal democratic freedoms of speech, expression, assembly, conscience and religion of peaceful Pro-Life Human Life Advocates and of real doctors who actually follow the ancient Hippocratic Medical Tradition that doctors do not kill (the oldest form of the doctor’s Hippocratic Oath specifically prohibited abortion).

This KILLING HUMANS IS WRONG Message to the United Nations and to the world’s governments was specifically motivated by the fact that, in a more advanced case of the current worldwide trend of Pro-Choice ‘Creeping Totalitarianism,’ the writer can be arrested and jailed in his country just for saying “killing humans is wrong because Human Rights are for all humans;” or for speaking verifiable scientific and medical facts about abortion; even just for “staring disapprovingly” at an abortion facility. If you can be arrested ANYWHERE in a country just for saying “killing humans is wrong,” that country is not a functioning democracy, and is not free. Free Democracy cannot possibly last wherever Pro-Choice laws against Free Speech make peaceful and scientific Human Rights advocacy a crime, like it is in totalitarian States.

Such totalitarian Pro-Choice laws and policies passed recently by “Officially Pro-Choice” political parties are simply in keeping with the totalitarian Soviet and Nazi parties which were the first political parties to legalize human-killing abortion in the first place, because the evil Soviet and Nazi parties actually did not believe that killing humans is wrong. Neither do today’s officially Pro-Choice political parties which ignorantly followed the Soviet and Nazi precedent of legal abortion actually believe that killing humans is wrong – they may claim they believe this, but deny it by their politically extremist legal human-killing abortion and euthanasia policies, which in the past they only defended with extremely intellectually dishonest logical fallacies, and by simply ignoring textbook biological science about the human life-cycle. Now such Pro-Choice politicians and political parties are keeping human-killing abortion legal by gradually ending Free Democracy.

Such recent Pro-Choice totalitarian laws and policies ending normal Democratic Freedoms of Speech, Expression, Assembly, Conscience and Religion specifically in the service of providing “abortion access” completely unimpeded by the pesky morals of Human Rights advocates who actually believe that killing humans is wrong, are in fact necessary for legal human-killing by abortion to continue long-term, since Pro-Choice politicians and voters simply cannot win an intelligent and intellectually honest, rigorously scientific and logical Abortion Debate (Human Rights for All Humans Debate) which duly considers all the most pertinent facts of Human Rights History, Biological Science, and Logic (see the author’s books  Pro-Life Equals Pro-Democracy; DEMOCRACY 101; Killing Humans Is Wrong; and No Fruit Without Roots). Any Pro-Choicer (politician or citizen) who disagrees with these conclusions is invited to take The Intellectual Honesty Challenge and attempt to write and send the writer (a Logician), an intelligent and intellectually honest defense of Pro-Choice legal human-killing by abortion which does not ignore established facts of Science and Human Rights History and does not commit the usual textbook logical fallacies of reasoning which so far are the only “arguments” which have been proposed in support of legal abortion. Atheist and Pro-Choice opinions both depend mostly on ignorance and lack of knowledge of the actual (Judeo-Christian) history of Science and of Human Rights and freedoms (all built on Biblical First Principles). So Atheists, who very frequently are also Pro-Choicers, are doubly given The Intellectual Honesty Challenge. With peaceful Pro-Life Human Rights Advocates and doctors being subject to such Pro-Choice totalitarian laws in this author’s country, which are merely a more advanced case of a current worldwide trend of Pro-Choice anti-democratic laws and policies, it is clear that for the sake of LASTING Free Democracy, legal human-killing abortion bigotry must end, because human societies can only be and stay safe and free when human laws remain rooted in and do not compromise God's Law from the Judeo-Christian Bible that “YOU SHALL NOT KILL” (Exodus 20:13).  The Bible testifies that killing humans is wrong because humans, “male and female” are equally made “in the Image of God” (Genesis 1:27), in the very first chapter in the Bible. Thus, the Bible from its outset lays the foundations of the West’s Human Rights and Democracy-grounding, Judeo-Christian concept of EQUAL HUMAN PRECIOUSNESS, and needs to be respected as the ultimate source of Western Freedom.

In the simplest terms, the Message the “Pro-Choice West” (now gradually losing its freedom to Pro-Choice “Creeping Totalitarianism”) has forgotten and compromised, to the great risk of its Free Democracies, is that without exception KILLING HUMANS IS WRONG. Which is why human-killing abortion must be re-criminalized for the safety and continued freedom of all humanity.

As a group, Christians are by far the largest and most diverse group of humans on the planet. 2.3 billion people, at least some from virtually every nation, race/ethnicity, culture, social class, gender, ability and disability or biological disorder. Precisely because Christianity teaches that every human life without exception is supremely and equally precious – which is the first of The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy.

It is not Christian individuals (and past ostensibly Christian societies) living by the high Biblical, Judeo-Christian moral standards which in history has caused complaint against Christians – it is Christians (as individuals and as societies) failing to live by their own extremely high Christian standards of God’s infinite love towards every human. In as much as Christians through history have failed to live up to the very high Christian moral standards, bad things have happened in ostensibly Christian societies – but no worse than the bad things that happened in non-Christian societies where the people were not even trying to live up to high Biblical moral standards - and usually quite a bit better. Non-Christian societies had many indigenous cultural practices which violated Human Rights, such as (extremely common) infanticide, especially of baby girls; human sacrifice; cannibalism; widow-burning; and giving up girls to be Temple prostitutes. Christianity put an end to all such Human Rights abuses wherever they found them as Christian Europe (whatever its flaws and imperfections) colonized the rest of the world. As one Australian Aborigine said, “the British were arrogant. But they brought Christianity, and we stopped killing each other.” This is what Christianity, when put into practice, does for human societies. Christianity taught the world that KILLING HUMANS IS WRONG in the first place.

For readers who are Christians, Jews, and others of good will who already hold the Traditional Western Values which Free Democracy was historically and logically built on (Judeo-Christian, Pro-Life Family Values such as equal human preciousness without exception which governments are obligated to protect and not destroy), this above MESSAGE, KILLING HUMANS IS WRONG (and this author’s whole book with that title) is meant to encourage you that YOU ARE THE PREMIER DEFENDERS OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND FREE DEMOCRACY FOR EVERYONE, in your country and in the world, against current serious threats of Pro-Choice ‘Creeping Totalitarianism.’ YOU (in solidarity with others) have a moral obligation to speak and stand up for your Traditional Western Values as the continued guide of public policy so that Free Democracy can last long-term on its firm traditional foundations.

Remember that when the Polish people – most of them Christians living under the oppression of the Atheist Soviet Communist Bloc  – stood up together in Solidarity for their Traditional Western and Christian values to be respected by the State government, it resulted in a chain reaction which bloodlessly brought an end to 70 years of oppressive totalitarian Atheist Soviet Communism which threatened the whole world with its nuclear arsenal. 

The Polish Solidarity movement (and trade union) was inspired by the 1979 visit of the new Polish Pope (Saint) John Paul II to his home country. Despite the people being indoctrinated with Atheist Communist ideology in State-run schools for decades, and despite the schools telling the people that the Pope was a dangerous enemy and otherwise discouraging people from coming to see the Pope during his first visit home, a million people came to greet John Paul II, chanting “We want God! We want God! We want God!”

Solidarity began in 1980; its Chaplain, Father Jerzy Popiełuszko, was kidnapped and murdered by the Secret Police in 1984. But the Polish people in Solidarity with each other stood up for their Traditional Western, Christian values and undermined hardline Communism in the Soviet Bloc. They were standing up against “the evil empire” which seemed to be so powerful, armed as it was with gun-toting thugs and a nuclear arsenal threatening the world with extinction. Yet by 1989 Atheist Soviet Communism fell like a house of cards when the people with Traditional Western Values stood up together against it in Solidarity. 

Today in the West we are not facing gun-toting thugs with nukes. We are merely facing Pro-Choice politicians and voters who lack any solid Human Rights Education such as that introduced in the books DEMOCRACY 101; Pro-Life Equals Pro-Democracy; Killing Humans Is Wrong, and No Fruit Without Roots. Today we are merely facing Pro-Choice politicians and voters who (unlike the Soviets) if asked probably would say they believe in Free Democracy and Human Rights for all humans. But they just are too uneducated in Human Rights History, Science, and Logic to know that their Pro-Choice position for legal abortion is an entirely logically fallacious and inherently anti-human and politically extremist position which logically in the end destroys Free Democracy by destroying its Pro-Life Human Rights for all humans foundations (they unwittingly followed the politically extremist 1920 Soviet precedent of de-criminalizing human-killing abortion – because they just did not know any better). We can help educate them with that solid Human Rights Education they need in order to be good citizens educated for a LASTING democracy.

We do not even need to educate the most ardent and hostile Pro-Choicers, who typically are the least intelligent and/or the least intellectually honest anyway. In each of our Western democracies we only need to educate enough of the “majority in the middle” – who “lean” either Pro-Choice or Pro-Life but are not seriously politically committed to either position. We just need to educate enough average people until we have ensured there are too many Humans-Rights-educated voters, who know The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, for the officially Pro-Choice (and therefore inherently extremist) political parties and politicians to get voted into power, where in their ignorance of The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy they misuse their political power to undermine Free Democracy just because they do not know any better.  

The (Christian) Abolitionists, though it took them decades, gradually taught the general population to (without compromises like legal slavery) recognize and respect the Democracy-grounding Traditional Western (Judeo-Christian) principle of equal human preciousness. So that bigoted legal slavery, which was fundamentally incompatible with Democracy (which depends upon human equality), finally ended. Traditional Christians and Jews and other Pro-Life Human Rights Advocates can now, even if it takes decades (though it won’t), also likewise gradually teach the general population to (without compromises like legal abortion) recognize and respect the very same Democracy-grounding Traditional Western (Judeo-Christian) principle of equal human preciousness. So that bigoted legal abortion, which like bigoted legal slavery before it is fundamentally incompatible with Democracy (which depends upon human equality), will also finally end. And with it all the Pro-Choice attacks on democratic and religious freedoms, like the ones that mean this Human Rights scholar can be arrested and jailed in his country just for saying “killing humans is wrong” near - or even for “staring” at - a human-killing abortion clinic. Officially Pro-Choice politicians and political parties having passed laws against normal democratic freedoms of speech, expression, assembly, conscience and religion, just because they cannot keep abortion legal any other way, since all the most pertinent facts of History, Science and Logic prove Pro-Life = Pro-Democracy (and Pro-Choice = Pro-Totalitarianism – which is also demonstrated by their Pro-Choice totalitarian laws against Free Speech).

For readers who currently hold a Pro-Choice political position, you are part of the problem of Pro-Choice ‘Creeping Totalitarianism’ which is undermining Free Democracy from its very foundations (which are Pro-Life). You are hereby given The Intellectual Honesty Challenge.
